The parents to be! Balloons by a local friend, Emily Jones.
This past weekend I attended the absolute CUTEST baby shower for my cousin and need to share the deets with yinz! My aunt and family friends put the whole thing on without an event planner and WOW. The theme of “Adventure Begins” was the most perfect way to incorporate all the party details. When you walked into the event, hosted on the patio at my aunt’s pool, you were greeted by the welcome table or “guest check in.” Here you picked up an advice/prediction card for the parents to be and a cute favor at “baggage claim.” These favors were little airplane bottle openers from Fashion Craft!
The next stop was to head over to “in flight beverages” for a beer or a mimosa! The mimosa bar was fueled by Lamarca Prosecco and Korbel Champagne. The juices were pink grapefruit, apricot, orange, and blueberry. To garnish, there were raspberries, blueberries, pink rock candy, marshmallows, and jelly candies. Don’t forget the pink macaroons! You know those random aisles in Marshall’s with trendy snacks and coffee fix-ins? It’s the perfect place to find adorable treats just like these pink macaroons. A family friend, Alicia, put together the STUNNING mom-osa bar shown below!
Little cardboard “airmail” boxes & pink Hershey kisses from Amazon

Once the party got going, lunch was served buffet-style, from A Grand Affair Catering. Pulled beef, Chicken Romano, signature potatoes, pasta salad, etc. were on the menu. After eating, it was game time! The game cards were purchased from Amazon, (similar ones linked here). The price is right, baby bingo, and baby predictions/advice were all perfect and ran by the dad aka my cousin 😂 It was a HOOT! As the momma-to-be opened the gifts from the “luggage drop off,” the dad to be shouted out the gifts for everyone to check off on their bingo cards. Winners got to choose a gift bag which contained oil diffusers, lotions, or bath bombs!
Lastly, we had to have dessert of course!! There was a whole spread of desserts from homemade thumbprints, to customized royal iced cookies, to a THREE TIER CAKE 😍 The custom cookies were from a local baker in Lower Burrell and the cake was done by Liv Off Cake! Each layer was constructed of vanilla cake, sandwiched around Bavarian Cream and fresh strawberries. Gold foil pieces and glitter were sprinkled all over the white and pink cake. Baby Lily’s name was displayed at the top and fresh lilies were placed around the cake. Contact Liv for any dessert inquiries of your own!
This party was a stunning success and I hope it is a success if you give this theme a shot for yourself! All of the products are linked on my LIKEtoKNOW.it throughout this article. If you need anything specific, as always feel free to reach out to me directly!
