This year the holidays are looking very different. With the PA COVID restrictions in place until the new year, it’s so important now more than ever to support small, local businesses. I have a list of my picks for festive drinks to go from some Pittsburgh businesses. Check them out!
De Fer Coffee & Tea: Bottled Cocktails and 6-packs
De Fer Coffee & Tea is located on Smallman Street in the Strip District and has gorgeous bottled cocktails to go, perfect for any holiday. With drinks like a Negroni and Manhattan, these bottled cocktails will take your holiday to the next level! They also have create your own 6-packs of beer to go. You can order right online for pickup.
Spirit: Bottled Cocktails for Pick-Up
Spirit, located in Lawrenceville is offering some classic cocktails and some seasonal ones available for pick-up. Classics like limoncello and pickle backs are available as well as some fun holiday options like I Can’t Believe it’s Not Nog which is vegan. When I read the description for the Nog, I saw spiced rum, oatmilk and cloves and was SOLD. These elegant bottles are perfect for a gift or to heighten your holiday celebration in a classy way.
Hidden Harbor: Tropical Holiday Cocktails
Hidden Harbor has it figured out! Located in Squirrel Hill, they have all of their holiday themed cocktails available to go. Below I have pictured the Hoth for the Holidays and How the Grog Stole Christmas. You can order for pick-up or enjoy on their heated back patio, just make sure you make an online reservation ahead of time! They also have bottled cocktails to order if you are serving for a group. One is the Rum Old Fashioned that serves 4. Independent Brewing Company is next door so stop and get some of the IBC classic cocktails, cocktail kits and brews to go!
Acacia: To Go Cocktails
Starting this Thursday, the cocktail bar in Southside, Acacia is joining in on the cocktail to-go scene. A mason jar or quart of their house made Rum Eggnog is available for $10 and $20, respectively. They also have highballs available to- go featuring a deal with all 4 highballs (Suntory Toki, Suntory Roku, Suntory Haku and Jim Beam Black) for $31. Keep an eye out for other features!
PA Market: Virtual Tasting Classes

Sign up today for The PA Market’s virtual wine and cocktail classes! You sign up online and then pick up your kit at their location in the Strip District. Not to mention you can also snag some wine or beer to go when you’re there for your holiday. They offer a wine and cookie tasting, cocktail making classes and even a sparkling wine tasting on December 30th so you can find your favorite for the new year!
Cioppino: Seasonal Cocktails To-Go
Cioppino is offering all of their seasonal cocktails to-go this holiday season from their restaurant in the Strip District! Their menu has a little bit of everything depending on your liquor preference. Tequila lover? Warmin’ Up Winter is your choice. More of a gin person? The Winter Fizz is right up your alley! A wine fan? Cioppino has their red and white sangria available to go as well. I’d be remiss if I did not mention their holiday food specials as well. Offering an a la carte menu (items priced $3-$35) and holiday packages (priced at $60 and $120), you can ensure you have the best foods for your holiday season.
Support these local favorites during this difficult time! Hopefully your small holiday get together can be made even better by these fun and festive drinks!
