Lawrenceville Cookie Tour

Can you believe it’s going to be December this week?? The holiday season is upon us which means HOLIDAY SHOPPING! One of the best local spots to shop this holiday season is Butler Street in the heart of Lawrenceville. You will find a mix of fun little unique shops, bars, restaurants and more! I’m here to share some of my favorites 😊 The best part? You get REWARDED for shopping small. The Lawrenceville Cookie Tour is a holiday rewards program that runs throughout the month of December. There’s a list of businesses that are participating and all you have to do is make a $5 purchase at each business to get a sticker added to your card. You can pick up a card at any participating businesses.

First up on my tour was to stop at Convive Coffee to get myself a warm drink to shop around with. Convive also has grounds to go, perfect for any coffee lover in your life! I went with the chai tea latte because I love the spice around the holidays.

Next I headed over to Gerbe Glass where I found the cutest handmade glass blown gifts. They had jewelry, wine stoppers, paperweights and figurines that were each uniquely made by the owner right in the shop. I asked her how she got started and said she needed a hobby when her kids got older and moved out. Such a cute story and cool hobby. I got some earrings as a gift.

Third stop was at Una Biologicals. Una is not participating with the Cookie Rewards, but they are still a small business that needs some love! They have soaps, body scrubs, essential oils and basically anything self care that you can imagine including gift sets! My favorite thing about shopping here were the different themed gift sets with a range of prices from $20-$50+. They have a self-care set and an elevate your spirit holiday pamper set.

Over to the Candle Lab we went. The Candle Lab is known for their create your own scents, but this holiday season to make things easier, they have premade combos! Combining three scents, these blends have a perfect fit for everyone. If you aren’t into the blends they have singular scent candles as a medium size solo and as a 4-pack of minis! I went with the “day at the spa” pack that came with cucumber, awapuhi, lemongrass and green tea. These minis are perfect to burn solo during a bath or light up the whole set for a mix of spa-like scents. The minis were only $23 for the kit.

About halfway through our shopping adventure I wanted a snack so we went to La Gourmandine, a French bakery for a chocolate croissant, my favorite. Sadly they had sold out of croissants for the day, but I know I’ll be back for that croissant another day and my sticker. You can also order online and try a little bit of everything!

At this point we are 3 stickers deep and the first reward level is 5 stickers. We headed to Lawrenceville Pet Supply for some gifts for our little friends. My friend and I are both cat owners so we scoped out that section. I got my kitty, Coco two bouncy balls with spikes and a little pouch of food because he loves those liquid pouch mixes.

We popped over to City Grows but unfortunately you needed an appointment to go in and there weren’t any until 6:15pm so make sure you book ahead of time!

Another stop at a small business not participating in the rewards program was at Von Walter & Funk. I had never heard of this place before, but man am I glad we stumbled upon it. This small business started out as primarily a vintage glassware business but now has expanded to so much more. They had incense, cookbooks, drinkware, funky socks, the list goes on! Oh and did I mention they are also a custom balloon shop?!

Last up on our journey was Goodwill. I am not a thrifty gal but I was LIVING in this store. I got over 10 items for $60 including a lot of turtlenecks and sweaters for the winter weather. The Lawrenceville Goodwill is such a big one and the deals were BOMB. I got an Adidas Penguins long sleeve and Penn State Big Ten Champs shirt from 2016! I also snagged a Dockers quarter zip for my dad for Christmas.

Finally at our 8th stop of our tour we received our 5th sticker. We could stop there and cash in our rewards online, but the program lasts all month! There were plenty of bars, restaurants and shops we didn’t get to hit so we will save that for another day. Some I will be sure to hit are Industry Public House, Bierport, Spruce & Adorn, Songbird Artistry and Hop Farm Brewing.

I hope this holiday season you consider joining the Cookie Rewards Tour and shopping small on one of the best streets in the city!
