If you’re looking for a fun day or nighttime bite and drinks, Hofbräuhaus is a perfect fit! I went 2 weeks ago for their Oktoberfest celebration and had so much fun. Oktoberfest is something I always like to go out for because everyone is always having such a fun time and enjoying the live music and of course, THE BEER! I had never been to Hofbräuhaus before, but it seemed like the spot to be this year.
When we arrived there was about an hour wait, but part of that was because it was a special festival and the fact that we had 16 people LOL. When they brought us in we were sat outside in the Biergarten. It was cool because there was an inside space, an outside deck and then the Biergarten that was right down next to the river. This was also where the live music was.
I’m not traditionally a lover of German foods but BOY was it good. We started out with the Giant Pretzel app that is only available during special festivals, but worry not! There is another pretzel app that includes 4 smaller soft pretzels with the yummy beer cheese dip 😋 For my meal I was deciding between getting something basic like a salad or a burger then thought I’m going ALL IN. I decided on a schnitzel sandwich and subbed the side for a cup of German potato soup. OH MY GOODNESS. On that chilly September Saturday night, that soup hit the SPOT. Of course I had to get myself a stein of beer to go along with it and decided to get the monthly seasonal beer, Festbier. It was an amber lager which was a nice change up from my usual IPA selection (very un-German haha).

I will definitely be back and likely on a Sunday because of their bomb Steelers game specials below 😉 Also Live Music starts again on Fridays (5-9pm) and Saturdays (1-6:30pm, 7-9:30pm) starting on October 9th & 10th! Let me know if you end up going and what yummy food you get!
