THE PERFECT PITTSBURGH DAY part 4 – a series with mini itineraries for a perfect day in Pittsburgh! Great for when you have out of town visitors or are looking for a day of fun in our little city.

FIRST STOP: White Whale Books! I recently went to White Whale for the first time & oh my was it wonderful! The energy, the collections, the people all 10/10. There is even a beverage counter inside so you can order coffee, beer or wine. I went with one of my follower’s recommendations, the Gingerbread Chai with a shot of espresso. I spent a lot of time in the growth section checking out self help-esque books & the regional section where there were tons of books about Pittsburgh & Appalachia. Lots of kid friendly books can be found at White Whale too!

NEXT STOP: Linea Verde Green Market for produce shopping! The best thing about Bloomfield is there are tons of longstanding family-owned businesses. Linea Verde is a produce shop with the most lively local business owner I think I’ve ever met LOL Gina is a character & you simply have to go & meet her to grab your produce for the week. This is NOT a plant store (as the door sign says), but there is one across the street Emilichka.

THIRD STOP: Bloomfield Drug Store! a drug store?? Yes, a drug store. I stopped in to grab some allergy medication when lo & behold I stumble upon the cutest little boutique shop! Local gifts from Steel City Salt Co, earrings, mugs, adorable clothing styles & other eclectic Pittsburgh gifts were everywhere! I simply had to take a mug home with me.

LAST STOP: Lot 17 for lunch. I may actually be addicted to the buffalo chicken wrap at Lot 17. This wrap is exactly what I want when I think Buffalo chicken wrap. It also comes with a side of fries that add to the deliciousness. This spot is super affordable & truly a great neighborhood eatery. They also have a kids menu which you don’t come by all too often in the city! Sit at the bar and grab a drink with lunch or opt for a table. Lot 17 is known for their chicken sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads & apps. Truly a classic neighborhood spot.
