THE PERFECT PITTSBURGH DAY part 2 – a series with mini itineraries for a perfect day in Pittsburgh! Great for when you have out of town visitors or are looking for a day of fun in our little city.

FIRST STOP: Dinner at my absolute favorite restaurant in the city – Gi Jin. This Japanese fine dining spot ABSOLUTELY delivers every single time. The quality of the ingredients along with the presentation & flavor with each bite is something special in our little city. Not to mention the atmosphere matches perfectly. Their salmon sashimi is a must every time I visit along with anything involving scallops. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time because there is limited seating each night. Also note they are not open Sundays or Mondays.

NEXT STOP: Take advantage of Pittsburgh’s Cultural District by seeing a show! Find something that floats your boat from Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Pittsburgh Symphony, Pittsburgh CLO, or the Cultural Trust. The shows are spectacular & affordable. Plus it gives you a reason to get a little dressed up! I love seeing the Christmas Carol each year & anything symphony related as a fellow high school band nerd. The symphony holds special events where they air classic movies & the orchestra plays the accompanying score. It is BREATHTAKING.

FINAL STOP: Stroll over to Market Square to Emerson’s for a cozy night cap! Whether it’s a craft cocktail or a unique mocktail, indulge at Emerson’s in Market Square. With couch seating & a fireplace, this spot serves equally as much ambiance as it does quality sips.
